Hip and low back pain are among the most common reasons clients seek massage therapy. In this 2-day continuing education course you will learn an integrative, movement-based approach to working with the hips, pelvis, and lumbar spine, with a strong emphasis on Thai massage–inspired techniques and principles.  You will walk away with practical techniques that can be immediately integrated into sessions, including table-based and floor-based adaptations designed to improve mobility, support nervous system regulation, and create lasting change without force or strain.

Participants Will Learn How To:

  • Identify common holding patterns in the hips and low back
  • Assess pelvic organization, movement quality, and compensation patterns
  • Apply Thai massage–inspired compression, traction, rocking, and assisted stretching techniques
  • Integrate breath and movement into therapeutic bodywork
  • Use therapist body mechanics and leverage effectively
  • Support clients with simple take-home movement and alignment practices

Course Includes:

  • Thai massage–inspired bodywork techniques
  • Assisted stretching and range of motion
  • Rhythmic compression and rocking techniques
  • Neuromuscular and trigger-point approaches
  • Breath facilitation and nervous system regulation
